New Theatre In Education project to commemorate World War One
State of Play has been commissioned by Priest’s House Museum, Wimborne to create a new TIE show for schools and community audiences. This will focus on events in World War One in the South West and how they affected local people (Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund) This follows the success of our WW2 project ‘GI Joe in Dorset’ about African American GIs in Dorset.

Two projects developed as part of Wimborne Community Theatre
An experimental Story Trail
A series of workshops led by Claire Raftery and Damian Wright, from Periplum, and Tony Horitz, creating an experimental Story Trail, based on research into personal testimonies from East Dorset in WW1.

Schools Project
A series of after-school workshops with St Michael’s Middle School, Colehill and Allenbourn Middle School, Wimborne and Beaucroft Special school, linked to Wimborne Community Theatre’s project. (Workshops funded by Dorset Education Fund – Dorset Community Foundation).
